Mr. Felipe Almanza is the Vice President, of New Product Development for TrafFix Devices Inc. Engineering Department based out of San Clemente in Southern California, USA. A Cal Poly Pomona graduate with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, his experience spans more than 17 years in the Highway Safety Industry developing new life saving products as well as refining existing products such as the Scorpion II Truck Mounted Attenuator, the SLED End Treatment and the Big Sandy Crash Cushion. The roadside safety products that he has developed and enhanced under his employ are designed and engineered to meet the safety requirements used to protect the lives of highway workers and the traveling public in countries all over the world. In addition to his leadership within the Engineering Department at TrafFix Devices, Inc., he is a contributing member to the following: Subcommittee Task Force 13, Transportation Research Board (TRB) and its subcommittee AFB20, American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) and International Road Federation (IRF). He spends a great deal of time sharing and sharpening his knowledge while gaining a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of road safety requirements worldwide. His career is dedicated to protecting and saving lives around the globe.
